Bullying
All over the United States, children and teens are being bullyed to death...literally. These tradgedies are all over the news. Parents are trying to instill good values in thier children, but how can they with all of the bullying and harrassment going on? The article by Leonard Pitts Jr describes the bullying that's going on in schools, colleges and even the work place. Everyone can be bullied, no one in reality is safe from it. It's the way you learn to accept it for what it is, or just throw it over your shoulder and forget about it. Growing up, my mom always taught me that "sticks and stones may break your bones, but words will never hurt." To me it's true. I was always the kind of kid that had a smart-alec remark to anything anyone said. So I feel like that helped me. I would just shut down whatever someone said to me and they would give up and stop. I never took what anyone said to heart because I didn't believe that it was true. I guess I bullied people when I would fight back to them. I would make them stop and they would walk away. I guess I might have hurt thier feelings, but they were bullies. I think I can help eliminate bullies when I see someone bullying I can try and stop it.
