Fish or Frankenfish?

In Fish or Frankenfish, Mary Clare Jalonick talks about how genetically engineered salmon and becoming a concern. These salmon may be linked to allergic reactions that consumers might have. These allergic reactions are a rising concern for the FDA. The fish will be the first allowed modified animals available for human consumption if the FDA agrees to put these fish on the market. AquaBounty's Ron Stoich- the chief executive of the company based in Massachusettes states that the fish are safe and healthy for people to purchase and eat. Though the FDA agrees with Stoich that the salmon are safe, and beneficial for the enviornment, they havent agreed to the marketing fo the fish. The ongoing conflict of putting these genetically engineered fish on teh market, hasnt yet been resolved, but we can expect it to be resolved soon. I think that these fish should be allowed to be sold for human consumption. We consume poultry and beef that chemicals are present, so why shouldnt we allow the salmon?
